The other day, I posted that it was my birthday. That post got 18 claps. Really? You supposedly read my post, clapped a few times - but you couldn't even do the 50 claps Medium suggests?
And you didn't even have the courtesy to wish me a happy birthday?
Another post that surprised me with zero comments was my post on possibilities. Being a very curious person, I almost always want to know new possibilities - aren't you at all interested? Why are you not asking questions? Commenting? Don't you care about our future on this planet?
THE ART
Yes! Every single post I make includes an original design created by me. Aren't you curious at all about the art? Don't you want to know how I create it? Do you like/dislike the colors, forms, shapes, or underlying ideas? So far, only a couple people have ever commented on my artwork!
NO FOLLOW-FOR-FOLLOW
If you think I do follow-for-follow, how wrong you can be! That's a trap, and it does no one any good. Stop that right now. It's the quality of your writing that you want people to follow, not just because you're doing a trade-off.
I MIGHT FOLLOW YOU, AND I MIGHT NOT!
If you follow me, I will check you out. But if you're a lousy writer, or if what you write about is not within my realm of interests, no, I will not follow you.
Especially if you specialize in finance, real estate, any type of sexual matters, crypto or bitcoin, or badly written horror stories cloaked as 'history' articles. Spare me.
Also, if English is not your first language, your tries are to be commended. But please, get someone who speaks better English than you do to help you edit your stories. You’ll be glad you did.

What is it about my posts that keep you coming back?
Why do you even follow me, if you don't comment, or make the time to clap in appreciation more than a cursory few?
DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW TO COMMENT?
Maybe you're at a loss as to what to comment.
Here's how to think of what to say:
1. Comment about what you liked about what I wrote.
2. How did the post remind you of something in your own life?
3. Was there something in the post you can use in interaction with others - your kids? Friends? Customers?
4. What did you learn, if anything, and how will that improve your life, relationships, or business?
If you're going to be on Medium, at least participate.
